Course Description

The Fourth Trimester.

The Immediate Postpartum.

The First Three Months.

We spend a great deal of time throughout our pregnancy prepping for the next phase, and often finish with our preparations for birth.

But, what about the postpartum transition?

We often forget about the transition into parenting, what that looks like both emotionally and physically. The toll that it can take mentally, and the impact on the sense of self, as well as the relationship between partners and spouses.

In Planning Your Postpartum, we take a look at:

  • Physical and Hormonal Changes
  • Hospital Postpartum Preferences (during the first 24-48 hours)
  • Home Postpartum Preferences (24+ hours after birth)
  • Maternal Mental Health
  • Emotional Permissions
  • Your Support Circle
  • Self Care Planning
  • Relationship Care Planning

You will also gain access to tools and worksheets to help you navigate your postpartum, before even having your baby! If you are a practitioner who helps families during their postpartum, use these tools with your clients! They are designed to be easy to navigate and start conversations, that can lead to clarity and the most positive transitions.

We also have compiled a list of our favourite postpartum healing tips, which may be things you haven't even thought about yet!

Welcome to the course! We can't wait to help you Plan Your Postpartum!

Being a parent can be hard; I want to make sure  you feel supported, empowered and validated in your choices. When we  work together, you will receive my support, knowledge and consistent  check-ins. You are not alone in your journey; I am here to help guide  you along your way.Shannon is the mom of two boys and one  babe who miscarried in 2013, holds her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and  History from Wilfrid Laurier University and has served dozens of  families since becoming a doula in August 2014.
